America We Must Awake

We send our children to fight
As one by one we lose right after right
Freedom of speech can no longer exist
Our country was founded because of our faith
Yet, God can’t pass through the school gate
While our children can easily bring in a gun
And we ask what we have done
Where have we gone wrong?
Once our faith was very strong
Now we practice to deceive
When we say we believe
Excuses we make and maybe even lie
As we tell God to go away
In our schools He cannot stay
Where our children go to learn
We have told God that He must turn
America we must awake
So we can see what’s at stake
