The Towers Stand No More

It was just another day
Got up in time to be on my way
As usual I turned on the TV
Just in time to see
And feel the immense terror
As I saw the plane hit the second tower
As visions through the smoke began to appear
Of the rubble and my eyes begin to tear
Then came the loudest
As one by one the towers began to tumble
With a single act of destruction
The strong enormous construction
Fell to earth to stand no more
Simply a pile of rubbish on the floor
With deaths and injuries galore
We counted them one by one
As they were dug out from under the tons
Of twisted iron and chunks of concrete
As I watched I was unable to speak
And I know the twin towers
Have fallen and stand no more

America We Must Awake

We send our children to fight
As one by one we lose right after right
Freedom of speech can no longer exist
Our country was founded because of our faith
Yet, God can’t pass through the school gate
While our children can easily bring in a gun
And we ask what we have done
Where have we gone wrong?
Once our faith was very strong
Now we practice to deceive
When we say we believe
Excuses we make and maybe even lie
As we tell God to go away
In our schools He cannot stay
Where our children go to learn
We have told God that He must turn
America we must awake
So we can see what’s at stake
